A free guitar fretboard tool that lives in your browser.

Pentatonic Triads is an interactive practice app for guitarists learning pentatonic scales, modal theory, and chord progressions. Visualize the major pentatonic, minor pentatonic, Dorian, and Mixolydian modes across all twelve keys and five CAGED positions on a tappable fretboard — every dot plays its true pitch with real guitar samples.

Built for the way guitarists actually practice

Tap a triad card to light up its notes on the neck. Layer two or three triads to see the shared notes that bridge between chords. Build chord progressions with diatonic 7ths and 9ths, then loop them with a drum machine while you solo over the top. Switch instantly between a key and its relative major or minor. View the whole neck merged into one wide fretboard, color-coded by position.

No signup, no ads, no install

The whole app is a single HTML file that loads in any browser — phone, tablet, or desktop. Add it to your home screen and it works offline as a Progressive Web App. Your progressions and custom chord shapes save locally in your browser. Pick from a dark, medium, or warm-paper theme.

Made for guitar students, music teachers, and songwriters who want a clean, fast, focused tool — no subscription, no account, no tracking.
